Thought for the Day

Danda, M'Darlin' - I ran across a rather lovely and thought-provoking quotation yesterday written by Derek Walcott, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1992. He taught and worked in Boston for many years so you may have run across him. He is one of the best authors to have ever come out of the Caribbean. As you see he has kind eyes and is full of face that tells me he has witnessed much. To be able to express, in any art form, that which one has seen is a marvel to me.
"Break a vase, and the love that reassembles the fragments is stronger than the love which took its symmetry for granted when it was whole"
As I read your blog, I sense all that love sent your way, in many forms, be they images or words. The love is truly palpable. It is not easy to lay one's heart open and to be able to express it. Some people resort to Hallmark, which has its place, but your friends and family are making a concerted effort to really "show and tell". Accept their gifts of love which need not be acknowledged, save for your getting stronger every day.
Hugs, Doctor Danda, from LSC
